A man who supposedly loves his daughter but marries a woman who constantly bullies her and puts her to work while letting her own daughter be at leisure? A good father, a good father!!
Jokes aside, it’s not that unsurprising. Just as the way the rich are prejudiced against the poor, so are the poor with the rich. And Father Bai comes across as someone with a lot of prujucide.

I don’t know where he got the guts to criticize other people when all he is was a prideful person who loves to be ‘kind’ and ‘dignified’ when he couldn’t even properly protect his daughter. The ori FL suffered a lot from her stepmom and daughter because of him yet he didn’t even know and refused to believe that he married a scum and accept a shitty step daughter. I have no respect to him at all, as a Father, he was a failure.

Where I come from we have an adage .
The basic meaning is that “one tends to ignore the plank of wood in their eyes in the favour of mocking or attempting to remove the speck of dust in another person’s eyes”
The man fails to see his own inadequacy but desire to dwell in his thinking of other’s wrong or precieved wrong.
