The Random Passerby I Married Is The Richest Man!

Chapter 10 Part 1: Tit for tat

“Big boss, you’re not thinking of  hitting a little girl, right?” Huo Xiang held Leng Hao Chen’s arm, looking at him with a wide smile.

-Pretending he didn’t know what a “kabedon” was.

Leng Hao Chen hated being touched. Not to mention it was a complete stranger.

He immediately flung Huo Xiang’s hand away, and asked with cold eyes, “Who are you?

“It doesn’t matter who I am. It’s just that with these big dishes of yours, you have occupied all our space for having a meal. What do you expect us, this ward’s patients, to do?” Huo Xiang asked.

Leng Hao Chen smiled: “It turns out you were a patient.”

He pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the wrist that Huo Xiang had just held while giving Michael a meaningful glance.

Michael took out a wallet from his briefcase, then fished out a pile of money from his wallet, then took out two-hundred-yuan bills and handed them over to Huo Xiang: “Apologies for the disturbance, mister. Asking you to please go out to have dinner, we’re paying for it.”

Then he spoke to the people at the innermost bed: “What do you think, Sir, Madam?”

Upon hearing this, the old lady that had come to visit jumped over and seized the money that was originally to be given to Huo Xiang. She let out a couple words “thank you” and run out of the ward at once. Her husband lied down on the bed, turning his body saying that all this dispute had nothing to do with him.

Michael drew out again 200 yuan and handed them to Huo Xiang.

“Mister, this is for you.”

Huo Xiang’s face was expressionless, apparently unmoved.

Bai Zhen Zhen sighed in her heart: although he merely was a random passerby, his heart was full of righteousness, with iron bones, not bowing to others, it was really admirable!

“My brain is bad, the doctor repeatedly warned me that I must eat something good,” Huo Xiang said:

Bai Zhen Zhen: “……”

Michael subconsciously looked at Leng Hao Chen, who slightly nodded his head. Then Michael added another two hundred.

“Thank you!” Huo Xiang accepted the money happily.

To the side, Bai Zhen Zhen was completely astonished – he immediately accepted it so happily?!

A moment ago, when Huo Xiang reached to stop Leng Hao Chen’s action, she was a bit surprised. She didn’t expect Huo Xiang would succumb to the power of money so easily.

It looked like the requirements for a random passerby shouldn’t be too high ah…

Huo Xiang took the money and happily returned to his bed and sat down.

Leng Hao Chen frowned and asked: “You took the money yet don’t go out?”

Huo Xiang answered without raising his head: “Oh, I haven’t got my meal yet, I follow a very strict diet.”

Leng Hao Chen was speechless.

At this moment, Bai Zhen Zhen, who had been neglected for a long time, slightly raised her arm: “Sorry to interrupt…”

Leng Hao Chen’s gaze returned to Bai Zhen Zhen.

“President Leng, just now you said that I had deceived you – what does that exactly mean?”

As soon as Bai Zhen Zhen asked this question, a familiar voice arrived in everyone’s ears.

“Sister, it’s me who went to look for president Leng.” The one who spoke was Bai Mengru. She hurriedly entered the ward. Apparently, she had come to the hospital right after finishing school to visit his stepfather after the operation.

Bai Zhen Zhen was surprised: “Eh?

Here comes the bitch sister to mess things up yay! Did someone say they needed some dog blood? Cuz the weather forecast has announced a dog-blood storm for the next few weeks!

    1. That’s actually a good question… (i know this is prolly a rhetoric question but ill just go ahead and put down some of my thoughts xd)
it might have to do with this confucian ideals or whatev that have influenced their society for generations, since your power and well-being relies solely on a man, since young you learn to see all the other females as a potential threat to yourself and thus completely hate and try to destroy them before they get a chance of rob you from what’s ‘yours’ (specially those more outstanding than you)… or sth like that hahah but well step-brothers are also portrayed as either evil or lecherous towards the MC… all step-sth are stinky huh
in the end they just need to have a character that invokes deep hatred so that the reader feels angry and needs to keep reading the book till they got what they deserve x) we westerners also have our evil stepmoms and stepsis already from a young age (Cinderella, Snow White) but it is true that I had never read this kind of human cruelty (step sister seducing husband, induce abortion, kill child, cause accident) before I started with Asian novels… and they still are novels usually adressed to a young female audience, what kind of influence does that give… thinking about it, at this point in the novel BMR almost looks cute in comparison >.<
